Every Ramadan, Coffee Afrik's Women's Hubs host a community iftar, a gathering that brings together women from across both boroughs to break fast together.

This year's iftar celebrates five years of the Tower Hamlets Women's Hub and the first full year of the Hackney Sisters Hub operating under community governance.

The evening

Doors open at 5:30pm. We gather, talk, and rest together before breaking fast at sunset.

After iftar, there is a short programme: reflections from women who have shaped the hubs, a conversation about what community governance has meant in practice, and time for open sharing.

The evening ends whenever feels right.

Childcare

Childcare is available. Please contact us in advance so we can arrange accordingly.

Who is welcome

All women are welcome, regardless of faith. This is a community gathering, not a religious one, though it is held with deep respect for the spiritual significance of Ramadan for many attendees.
